Collaboration with AREXIM Engineering

A particularly telling example of the successful and effective collaboration between the Technical University of Sofia and “Arexim Engineering” is the joint project to develop innovative safety goggles during the pandemic, which was completed in an exceptionally short timeframe—just two weeks from concept to mass production. Thanks to the expertise of the university’s specialists, the use of 3D printing and modern technologies for designing and manufacturing molds, as well as Arexim Engineering’s manufacturing experience, a completely new Bulgarian product was created, protected by a utility model and certified in Germany. The project demonstrates in practice the potential for rapid technology transfer and effective collaboration between science, university infrastructure, Sofia Tech Park, and industry.  It proves that by combining scientific knowledge, engineering expertise, and manufacturing experience in Bulgaria, it is possible to create competitive products that meet the highest international standards.
